Betsy is a student that gets approached by Colin to play the lead in his production of "Macbeth." In Colin's adaptation of the play, Macbeth is played as a transgender man. Without any transgender boys in the [[Theater Department]], Colin defaults to Betsy. She attempts to work with students from BAGLY to approach trans issues with sensitivity, but the students don't respond well to being treated as "research material" and are very clear that they would have rather seen an actual transgender man in the role and wish Colin would have waited for the theater department to accept one before staging the production.
