"Die Geisterjäger" is Bonnie's attempt to bring a little bit of 1980s pop culture to the opera stage, via a completely sung-through (and in German, no less!) adaptation of the 1984 hit film "Ghostbusters."
While "Die Geisterjäger" is based on the 1980s classic and not the all-female 2016 reboot, Bonnie's production features gender-blind casting and features an all-gender team of ghostbusters.
Throughout the rehearsal process and during opening night, the set is visited by the presence of what Bonnie believes to be the ghost of deceased math teacher Roger Butts.
